MODE - Roger L. Morrison, 55, of Mode formerly of Windsor passed away at 9:30 p.m. Thursday (June 10, 2010) at the Siteman Cancer Research Center, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Richard Eident officiating. The Okaw Association Honor Guard will perform the Fireman's Bell Service. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Windsor Fire Department, the Windsor American Legion or Save Orphaned Animals, % Shelbyville Police Department. He was born April 28, 1955 in Shelbyville the son of Oliver "Pooch" and Verna Lou (Koontz) Morrison He married Rosemary Quigley February 12, 1977 in Windsor. He was a member of the Windsor Christian Church, member of the Windsor Fire Department serving as Fire Chief for several years and former member and president of the Windsor Harvest Picnic Committee. He formerly owned the Windsor Sales and Service Station in Windsor. Roger helped many people in the Windsor area. Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; son, Chris Morrison and wife, Andrea of Mattoon; daughters Courtney Morrison and Chelsea Morrison of Mode; granddaughter, Sophia of Mattoon; brothers, Steve Morrison (Barbara) of Kewanee and Denny Morrison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sister, Linda McFarland (Mike) of Mattoon; special niece and nephew, Stacey Quigley and Tony Pfeiffer of Gays; special great-niece and nephew, Madison and Evan; aunt, Mildred Koontz and uncle, Wes Koontz of Mode; special friends, Tim and Terry Bennett of Windsor and Tim and Vickie Anderson of Canton, GA.
