Richard Wade Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 26, 2018.
Richard "Rick" Wade, 61, of Goose Creek, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side at his residence on Tuesday afternoon, December 25, 2018. He was born September 1, 1957 in Charleston, SC to the late Gerald and Annie White Wade.

He retired in 2013 from JW Aluminum after working there 32 years as Casting Supervisor. However, before retiring he had started investing and managing his rental properties. He continued to do this after retirement from JW, realizing his dream of renovating older homes with his own hands and selling them with pride. He enjoyed playing pool and watching football especially the Carolina Gamecocks and Carolina Panthers.

Rick is survived by his wife, Jeanette LaClair Wade, of the home, and two daughters, Amber Nichole (CPO, USN James) Echtle, stationed currently in Seattle, WA, and Tara LaFay Wade, of North Charleston, and one son, PO2, USN Richard Travis Wade, currently stationed in San Antonio, TX , one brother, Bubba Wade, of Macedonia, four grandchildren, Sean Alexander Wade-Gonzalez, Tinsley Nicole Echtle, Bella Camille Wade-Gonzalez, Wyatt James Echtle, and Walker Joseph Echtle, and a grandchild on the way!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wade, and a sister, Linda Braud.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, December 28, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 am at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave. in North Charleston with the burial following in Carolina Memorial Park.
