Wagner, Richard Joseph age 76, of Blackduck, MN, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at his home. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 12, 2010 at the New Salem Lutheran Church in Turtle River, MN with Rev. Karol McCracken officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Turtle River, MN. He was born December 29, 1933 the son of Joseph and Myrtle (Johnson) Wagner. He was a Korean War era veteran. A meticulous man who took pride in his work, he had an artistic bent. A lover of books and libraries, he delighted in learning and using new words. A fan of Bill Maher, American Idol, and the Vikings when they played well; he also cherished his friends and family. He was sincere and successful in his resolve to become a better man. Heartfelt gratitude to all those who maintained and comforted him throughout his long illness and death. He is survived by his children: Mark, Becky (Paul) Butler and Mike; brothers: Joe (Mary Lou) Don (Kris), Ken (Mary) and Robert (Valerie) Wagner; 2 grandsons Aaron and Josh and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Special Services of Shore- view. Messages of condolence may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com, (218-751-9700).
