It has been so many years since I have seen everyone. I am so sorry for his passing. A good man. My condolences to Rosie (who had an angelic singing voice) and rest of the family.

Whip was a real friend all the way back to our high school days and baseball. I always looked forward to seeing him each year during our annual visit to Oneida. I could always count on seeing him at morning Mass at St. Joseph's. I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May he rest in peace.

Mrs. Whipple and Family, We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Whipple passing. He was a great guy with so much warmth and compassion. Always with a smile and willing to help out. We will miss seeing him. We will keep him and your family in our prayers and always in our hearts.

My condolences to the entire Whipple family. I first met Dick when our family moved to Sherrill in 1971. He was one of the finest gentlemen to touch my life. He was always kind and an inspiration to many. Thank you Dick, for all you did. Please pray for us.

I am sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a great help to me in identifying old photo's and recalling stories about baseball when I was doing my book on Sherrill & Oneida baseball. A fun classmate !

Whip was the best and I will never forget our chats, especially about Yankees baseball. I will also miss our groggy chats in the middle of the night when he bailed Rosie out of Adoration because she was too tired. He and I shared a lot of laughs, and I will miss him.

To the Whipple Family , I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Dick , he was a true gentlemen , I really enjoyed talking to him about his old football days at Oneida and there big rivalries with Canastota and VVS , he told me he was one of the smallest guys on the field , so he said he had to be the quickest guys so he wouldn't get flattened by the big guys , it was always great talking to him . RIP .
