Richard Walter Winslow

I had the pleasure of serving as Dick's colleague for three years at Lawrence University in the mid-1980s, and have rarely known a more honorable and admirable individual. His friendship meant more to me than I can convey, particularly as it helped dilute the impact of some of that institution's less welcoming aspects. As I contemplate my time in Appleton, I know that the image of his beaming face will remain with me forever.
