Richard Yelvington Obituary
He was born November 3, 1938, in Seville Florida to parents Claude and Jewel Yelvington. Richard was a lifelong farmer, rancher, and cowboy. When not with family, he enjoyed hunting, raising show cattle, and mowing fields on his tractor. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Seville where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and choir director.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dianne Yelvington; his brother Mack Yelvington and wife Cheryl; his children Dawn Yelvington, Christie Henry and husband Doug, and Austin Yelvington and wife Amanda; his grandchildren: Chance Drury and wife Brittany, Chandon Henry and wife Chariti, Kaylin Henry and husband Josh, Mila Bratcher, Darian and Logan Yelvington-Kee. He has two great-grandchildren, Reese and Tymber Henry, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, October 24th at the First Baptist Church of Seville with Pastor Daniel Kuhr officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM, church service at 11AM with graveside to follow. Lunch will be provided afterwards in the Fellowship Hall.
The family is accepting flowers or donations to Halifax Health Hospice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Crescent City.
