Dear Gerri,
I just learned of Dick's passing, and I regret not attending the wake or funeral.
Dick was a great man. I always felt his warmth and sincerity, a role model for many of us.
I had the pleasure of working with him starting in 1974, and at the very first acquaintance I knew immediately that he cared. While not close, many times I would call him and he was always instantly helpful and respectful.
Dick had a long and distinguished work career and a loving family- a kingly reward, befitting of this loving soul.
We will all miss him.

Dear Vincent,
Although it has been a very long time since I have been in the offices of Zandri Construction, I remember that I so enjoyed dealing with your Dad. He was always very kind and funny. I hope all of the wonderful stories you will hear about him during the coming days and weeks will provide comfort to you and your family of the many reminders of the profound impact he had on those whose lives he touched.

Gerri, Vince, Liza, Dina

My deepest sympathy to you and yours.
I was thinking about all the things we took for granted. The sound of Dick coming down the hall with his keys and briefcase saying "Hi Gang"....or the "Way to go" when we did something right..... The constant scurrying in the office when he was working on a bid....and the imfamous "Jeepers Crow" when things didn't go as planned.
We all have certain things that we will find hard not to hear. But they will be forever in our hearts...from the man who has forever touched our lives.
So here's to you Dick "Way to go", you have done your best and taught us well. We will all miss you very much.

God Bless you Gerri, we are all here for you.

Sincerely,
Pat Moak

Gerry and Family- I have been doing business with Dick's company for many years. Dick's passing stunned and saddened me, along with all of my colleagues at First Niagara Risk Management. Dick was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, and there were too few of them to begin with. Dick certianly put the lie to Leo Durocher's famous saying about "nice guys". Dick will be truly missed. My condoleces to all of you as well as Dick's employees. I hope that, as Dick was a man of faith, you all can take comfort in the knowledge that God is doing more for Dick that we can desire or pray for. Dick certainly "did his best" and I'm sure he has heard "Well done, good and faithful servant". You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Gerri, I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was such an amazing person. He cared so much for the projects he built, but more so for the people who would be living or working in them. He was compassionate, generous and most friendly. He made me feel good just to be around him when he visited our projects and especially when he was "just in the neighborhood" when he dropped in. My prayers are with you and your family.

Gerri and Family,
Dick was a kind, fair and generous man who took pride in everything he did; it showed in his devotion to his family and his business. He treated me like a son and I thought of him like a father. It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye to my “Chief”, my mentor, my friend. He will be deeply missed. Please accept our sincere condolences during this most difficult time.
