Thoughts of Dick come to me all the time as I see a stock or other investment that we discussed at length. He is missed as all good friends are...

I was shocked and saddened to hear about Dick's passing. He was younger than his years. He had been a regular at the Riverside Wellness Center, coming in several times a week for many years and had become part of the "family". He would walk in and reach behind the front desk to place his keys on the counter and pick them up when he left. I would joke with him that I was going to take his car for a spin and he would say, "Go ahead". I always appreciated his candor and honesty in a world where people seem not to say what they mean or mean what they say. I still miss and think of him everyday while I'm here at work. I know he will be missed by many. Prayers to his family and loved ones.

We both have a vivid memory of Dick coming up to us after Evan and Olivia's wedding rehearsal dinner. Not one to mince words, we feared the worst that he might tell us that something about the restaurant didn't meet his approval or his food was cold or something along those lines, Instead, he made a point of finding us to tell us how much he had enjoyed the event and that his meal was one of the best he had eaten in a long time. This small act put us at ease during a busy weekend. Wish we could have had the opportunity to have gotten to know him better beyond the two or three times our paths crossed. We grieve along with you during this difficult time. Please know how very much you are being held in our hearts and prayers.

When we think of Dick, we immediately remember how welcoming he was when we moved to Gloucester, VA. In 2005. It was so kind of him and Pat to include us at their Super Bowl Party that year. Although Dick could be gruff in manner, he obviously loved this community and contributed to it in many ways. He was smart and funny and we know he will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. We send heartfelt condolences to his family.
Rest In Peace.

Dear Zima Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was a truly unique friend. When I first worked for Dick, he looked at my shoes and then his shoes and said "why don't you get yourself a couple of pair of Allen Edmond's shoes?' I asked "what's wrong with my shoes, they're more modern than yours?" He looked at my my shoes again with that Dick look - eyes wide open and shook his head - and said "okay Twinkle Toes." Thus a true friendship started and I had a nickname that he used for thirty-plus years. I will miss my conversations with Dick, they were always fun and interesting. God bless.

We will truly miss him at the Wellness Center. He was a regular afternoon member. Quite a character I must say, he always had a smile on his face. I know he's at peace and hanging out with his dear friend Henry. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

Sincerely
Heidi Bristow
