Rick Anthony Bachman

We are so saddened to hear of our cousin Rick's passing and extend our condolences to Diana and family, Rick's father, Rick, and sisters, Karen and Cheryl and other family members. I am glad that I got to see Rick, which was at his mother's funeral, a sad time for everyone. Although I did not have the opportunity to speak with him, I got the impression that he was such a nice, loving man, and wished we had all kept in better touch throughout the years.

I'm sorry to hear of Ricks passing. We did not keep in touch enough to be really good cousins. We all live in our own worlds. The last time I saw Rick was at Paula's funeral. He looked upset then. Rick I just want to say thanks for all the good times we shared in lax. When I transferred from JFK you were one of the first guys I met. When I heard the news about your passing I sat back and shed some tears and then I thanked god for having the chance to know you for my time working in California. My heart goes out to your family and I want to thank your family for sharing you with me and all the airline family. May all the laughs and good times be a reminder of your true heart. God bless. It's Valentine's Day Daddy. I really really miss you. This is the first year I couldn't wake up to your Valentine's day card like every year. I used to think it was silly, but no one knows how much I could have one today. You're still my Valentine, you will forever be my Valentine. I'm coming to visit you in a little bit, I'm just waiting for Chris to come home with my car. You'd love the car I got, I got it because it reminded me of you. I have a rose for you always in my car. I feel you with me, a lot and I couldn't be more thankful for your spirit. You'd be so happy, I got all my classes this semester! Rick was always someone I enjoyed talking to at work. For over 30 years he would often have some new information to make you think differently about things. Then he would throw in a twist with this look of, "You didn't think about that did you?"
It was always with a smile and a joke to follow. I'll really miss him. Have already since last August.

My wife, Roselyn, our children, and I absolutely love our time with the Bachman family! Rick we will miss your physical presence and cherish the memories you shared with us. God has a special place for great men like Rick. Rick was a very caring husband and Father, a superb chef at the barbeque, great close friend and confidante, intense sportsman, and dedicated worker. In our private talks Rick had a special glow that would come over his face whenever we would discuss family. Rick told me many times that he truly loved his wife, Diana and would defend her or any of the children against any passing comment. Rick showed true love of family! Rick is leaving behind not just memories but great honorable memories! Everyone that was blessed to know Rick can smile knowing they had a few moments with someone special - especially his family! I would see Rick working outside the window of my office at Gate 40, doing what he did best at American. Truly the example of a valued employee. Rick, brought so many gifts to our life. We will never forget him! Remembering back on my time at LAX it was Rick who was there from day one. He was a true friend to all who let him be. He was a good Crew Chief, Union Rep and example of how to do things right.
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.

Missing you Dad, I swear you're with me at all times I can feel you, so many weird unexplainable things have happened to me since you departed, and as crazy as anyone calls me, I know its you looking down upon me and helping me. A girl needs her dad, and knowing you're gone breaks my heart, but with all the little things happening I realized it doesn't matter if you're not phyiscally with me because I feel your presence in my heart.
