Its hard to gauge the influence of a life, but I will always fondly remember my time with Rick, from language school in San Francisco to Camp Humphreys. May the God of all comfort bring His peace onto Ricks family and bless them as only He can. I look forward to seeing you again, my friend.

I just learned of Rick's passing. I am so sorry to hear it. We had lost touch with each other for some years, but I have great memories from years past when we worked together back in the Army in Korea. Rest in peace Rick, God bless.

Oh, dear Rick. I just happened across this notice. What a shock. Rick did really great legal work for my company in the mid-2000s and was a great asset. Rest In Peace and God Bless.

You know, I have only met you a couple times but from what I do remember is that you were a very happy person. You were always cracking jokes and making everyone smile. For you to have passed on is not only a great shock but it's something that has made me realize how short life is. There are so many things I have taken for granted. I know that you are in a better place and that you are right there in heaven making all the angels laugh :) you are missed and will always be loved

Rick, you will be missed so much. We are so blessed that you were a part of our lives. You were a role model to the community, and losing you is a very dear loss to us all.
With your infectious laugh and your witty humor, you brought smiles and happiness to all that came in contact with you. With your towering stature combined with your friendly and amicable attitude, you were a true gentleman and you will be very missed.

Ah, Rick. What a great joy it was to know you and what an immense sorrow it is to have lost you. You were very much loved and you'll be very much missed, my friend!

Rick. Dude. You are one of the very few people in law school that I actually liked. And I am not even sure about Dennis DeGuzman (just kidding Dennis. I love you, man). I hated the law school, but you were one of the people who made it tolerable for me. Fun, even.
You have a rock solid sense of self, the assured sense of knowing what actually mattered in life, and wicked sense of humor. I can still hear your contagious and boisterous laughter.
I am still very sorry that I manage to spill that red wine on your beautiful table. How in the hell did you tolerate me as a friend?
You are a good man, Charlie Brown. You and In-Ok are good people.
I miss you, dude.

We celebrate the love, the life, and the joy that Rick brought to this world and to all he met.
Rick was a true Renaissance man, exceedingly talented in law, business, painting, cooking, music, languages, and athletics. He had a broad set of interests and excelled at every one. He was successful in every sense of the word.
But, more importantly, Rick was a man of great faith, a leader in his church, and the model of a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. When someone close to Rick needed any kind of help, guidance, or advice, "no" was not in Rick's vocabulary. He was quick with a smile and generous with his wonderful, boisterous laugh.
RIck, you will be greatly missed. We love you, buddy! Some day, we'll laugh together, again.

Dear Rick,
You were my hero and such a powerful role model while growing up. Words cannot express how much of an influence you had and have on my life. I've always aspired to be a fraction of the person you are. When you wanted something, your tenacity allowed you to achieve any goal you set your sights on. Whether it was becoming an all-state athlete to honors student to being a successful attorney, you went for it and honed your skills until you were the best.
I'm sorry I didn't have the strength to speak at your service, it was just so painful to face the reality that you are really gone from us.
I have peace knowing you found your way home. I can picture you in heaven with mom making her laugh as you always have and I have so much comfort knowing you are together now. I am shedding tears as I write this, but I remind myself that the tears are for those of us living that will miss you. I am happy for you knowing that you have found peace and solitude. I always admired that you did not fear death, you believed it was the next chapter of life. Thank you for teaching me that.
Until we meet again, please know how much I love and admire you. You're forever in my heart.
Your Loving Sister, Debbie
