Dear Rick,
I like to think of you as Pastor Lennie said, with that perfect body, smiling, enjoying all of your loved ones who have gone before you. Once again our family chain is broken, one by one we will all be called and the chain will be joined in a circle once again. With fond memories,of all of the good. From singing to you as an infant, smiles in between, to your brave battle at the end and, until we meet again. Love,Aunt Lorraine

Like everyone who survives the death of a loved one, I find myself recalling the memories I had with my dear cousin Ricky:
I remember Friday nights in Hazel Crest: picking blackberries, exploring the creek and the "field" across the street from your home. I recall walks to the park where we would watch the traffic on the expressway. (Dick always told us to go play on the highway). I loved walks to the store when we could walk right down the middle of the street and talk and talk. Remember laughing together when we overheard your dad Dick and Uncle Louie "debating" on those Friday night visits?
I remember vacations at Castle Rock Lake, football games, and visiting your grandmothers. We all just got along so well and enjoyed our times together. What a life!
And, I recall some sad times too- Rick's grief and love for my Dad provided me and my family with the needed love and inspiration to help us through when Dad left us much too soon.
I always thought that I would have a chance to get together again with Rick- but it is not to be. A message to me and the rest of us I guess.
God bless you Rick. May your spirit rest with all of the family who have gone before you. I know that Jake was there with a huge smile welcoming you as he opened the gate.
Shirley, Dick, Marilyn and Michael: I am thinking of you all and send you my condolences...and prayers.
With love-
