Rickey Lee Moore, 45, Hayden, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, in Medora.
Mr. Moore had been in the Army and attended Wilson's Chapel. He graduated from J.C.H.S. in 1982. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Born Aug. 2, 1964, in Jackson County, he was the son of Paul J.R. and Jewell Cassetty Moore.
He is survived by his mother; two daughters, Casandra and Wendy Moore, both of Seymour; a son, Jeremy Moore; brother, Paul David Moore, Hayden; sister, Amanda Moore, North Vernon; and two grandsons, Madison Cockerham and Isaac Moore, both of Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his father and son, Justin Moore.
The Rev. Gary Reichenbacker will conduct funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will take place at Hayden Cemetery with a military service.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family.

i will never forget ricky moore. he loved george jones. i guess he could relate to him . you were good to my mom and we will miss your humor. why do the good have to go so young. you had very big heart especially for kids.

Rick was one of my closest friends and my step father for a period of time. my family loves and misses him very much .. I send my prays to his family and friends ... love ya rick , you will never be forgotten in our family ...may you rest in peace
