Ricky Dissette Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2025.
Mr. Ricky Louis Dissette, 67, passed away on July 20, 2025, in Warren, Michigan. Born on April 2, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, Ricky lived a life marked by dedication-to his family, his work, and to the many people whose lives he touched with his generosity and steadfast support.

From 1993 until his retirement in 2023, Ricky was the proud owner of Dissette Manufacturing. Over the course of three decades, he built more than a successful business-he established a legacy grounded in hard work, integrity, and genuine care for others. Known for his hands-on leadership and tireless commitment to excellence, Ricky earned deep respect from colleagues and clients alike. He was often found working alongside his team on the shop floor or mentoring new employees with patience and skill.

Ricky's life was enriched by the love he shared with Denise Ventimiglia. Together they built a meaningful life filled with love and shared purpose. He was a devoted father to April Dissette; Angelina Kammer and her husband Neal; Nichole Stepka and her husband Doug; and Katherine Thompson and her husband Nicholas; Dana Scratch and her husband Ryan; Jackie Michielutti; Joeseph Ventimiglia; Brian Bradfield. He also carried in his heart the memory of his beloved children Richard Dissette and Elizabeth Dissette.

One of Ricky's greatest joys came from being a grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with Marissa, Ryan, Andrew, Aubrey, Eloise, Tucker, Titus, Vincent, Tessa, Maddox, Mirabella and Dominic. Each grandchild brought unique joy to his life and held a special place in his heart.

He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: sister Kathie Hinze (Charlie Hoskins); sister Cynthia McKinnie (Brian McKinnie); and brother James Dissette. He now joins in rest his parents, Louis and Rose Dissette, as well as his brother's Gary Dissette and Thomas Hinze.

His extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews-all of whom were touched by his warmth-as well as lifelong friends who stood beside him through every chapter of life.

To those who knew him best, Ricky will be remembered as someone who always put others first-a man whose selflessness defined him. Whether family member or friend, coworker or neighbor, Ricky made sure everyone around him felt supported long before thinking of himself.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of many. Yet even in grief there is comfort: Ricky will be remembered every time we step on a steel chip-a quiet tribute to the man who gave so much of himself without hesitation or expectation.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Sunday, September 14th, 2025 from 1-5 pm at Lumberyard Pub & Grub, 26700 Schoenherr Rd., Warren, MI.
