Ricky Davis Gaines was born October 10, 1961 to Irene Gaines and Robert Thomas Gaines who also preceded him in death. But God makes no mistakes, and with that being said, he quickly found Ricky Gaines a new home here on this earth with a loving caring soul, which he called his mom and loved dearly Barbara Henderson (New Orleans, LA).
"Big Dave" (Ricky Gaines) was a lifelong entrepreneur that started his own professional painting service that was very successful and still was successful following his death. Ricky was known for his outspokenness, his ability to change a frown into a smile, the unconditional love he had for his family and most importantly his "Big Heart".
Ricky did not let the weight of the world bring him down for he was a strong believer in God. "Don't tough his Cup" in you and him would get along just fine. "As we all know, there is only one Savior, one God". We love through Christ Jesus, he wanted Ricky to know that the Battle was not his, it's the Lords, and to trust in his Father and let him lead the way, from here on out. One thing you cannot forget about "Big Dave" was his laugh, and also his love he had for his children and most importantly his "Big Boy" (Clency Hampton).
Ricky has left behind, a host of loving sister and brothers, Ruth Helen Thigpen, Darlene Gaines, Robert Earl Gaines, Sabrina Gaines, Gwendolyn Gaines, Victory Gaines, Robert Clerk, Shawn Swilley, Calissa Matthews, Katrina Swilley, Arthalia Johnson, Yolanda Briley, and Laticia Escalade following his beloved children, Amanda I. Lampton, Clency Lampton (his only son) and Felistity Lampton. Ricky Gaines also took along a loving father role and figure Marissa and Maurice Jones.
Ricky Davis Gaines also left behind a grandson and also a granddaughter Mi'King Javion Lampton, and Jamyria Danae Lampton who he loved unconditionally. He was very big on happiness and family.

David you were a kind person. You always told me and my family that you loved us. I never took that for granted and I know you really did. Jaylin says he wanted to cry but he said I know David wouldn't like that. Ni heart hurts to. David we all will miss you so much until we meet again. Love Ellia Mae and family
