Ricky Lance Obituary
Rick is survived by his parents, Burl and Rhea Lance; partner, Deborah Murdock Muse; son and his wife, Tyler and Sara Lance and grandchild Amelia "Millie" Lance; daughter, Brittany Lance and fiancé Travis Shearer; and their mother, Lee Lance; sister, Rita Barnwell and husband Alvin; sister, Roxanne McMinn and husband Michael; along with many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was born on January 10th, 1962 in Fletcher, NC. Rick was a home builder in western North Carolina. He enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, whether it be in the mountains, at the beach, or the many places he traveled.
A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3:00pm at Fletcher First Baptist Church (5 Cane Creek Rd.). Reverend Roy Waldrop will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rick's life.

I could of never asked for a better friend and neighbor. Rick taught me to swim,ride a dirt bike, and have alot of fun with all the neighborhood kids. Rick and his family invited me to go to a church revival with them, when I was a teenager, and I accepted Jesus as my savior that night. I will be praying for God's peace and comfort for

I have great memories as being Rick's neighbor. We kids hung out and had fun times. We all rode the same school bus so many fun moments at bus stop. I am very sad to hear that Rick has left us too soon. I send love to all of the Lance family. Tia

As a WHHS class of 79, I didn't know Ricky personally, however I do remember his humor and many friends. Gone too soon, our loss is Heavens gain. My prayers for all.
