We are very sorry to find out so late of Ricky Lumpkin's passing. He took our wedding pictures in 1985 and presented them to us as a present. We were working with him at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and Ricky was a great drum major for the 36th Army Band. May God be with his entire family.

Katherine, this is Min Robert White, my heart is utterly broken. Forgive me for not sending my regrets sooner, it's not that I didnt know that my brother had passed, its just that i didn't want this to be real. Your husband (is) still one of the best men that I have and ever will meet. I'm sorry but I probably wont call cause i dont want to upset you. But I want you to know that I love Ricky and you. Ricky rest in peace i wish I could trade places with you right now.

I can't explain just how much of a mentor and advisor to me when I was a young soldier. Among other things, he taught how to play racquetball.
He was a great man, and he still is.

I had had a tough year during the 2015-2016 school year and was financially drained. I went to see a fellow co-worker with regard to help with an electric bill. This co-worker helped me with that electric bill but evidently spoke to Mr. Lumpkin about my situation and in return, in my estimation, very generous with providing financial assistance, since summer was right around the corner. I suspect I'm not the only person Mr. Lumpkin helped, but I do know he was a very caring individual not only to those who worked with him, but to the community as well. He left a great legacy to be remembered and to build upon, and I for one will never forget and will honor him for the man he was and for the spirit man who nourished our souls.

To Katherine Lumpkin and family:
My deepest sympathy to all of you on the Homegoing of your beloved Ricky. I had a lot of admiration for him. He was a role model as a great family man.
I am saddened by your loss and praying for your comfort and strength from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I knew Ricky as a young boy growing up in Argo, IL and a loving brother to my beloved best friend Lessie. May he Rest In Heaven R.I.H.

Greetings,
Do know that my Brother in Christ had an impact on all those he encountered, especially my family. He will truly be missed! But, in the spiritual realm he is still with us. He lived a life that speaks for itself. We miss you my Brother (Ricky)!

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family. May God give you the strength to endure as you go through your time of sorrow. Know that Ricky is resting somewhere around God's throne looking down and smiling at his family. Ricky had a sweet disposition and was always smiling and friendly to everyone that he met. He will truly be missed by many. May the work he did on this earth speak for him and may God bless the entire Lumpkin family!

Mr. Ricky Lumpkin,
When I seen you at work, there was always a good energy and vibe from you.You always made me feel welcomed. Mr. Happy-Camper was how you addressed me. How you took the time to get to know me. Through all of the interviews I had at work, you were always encouraging. You always had my back. The respect and trust I had from you was something that I didn't have from my own dad. I remember when I hit the brick mailbox and I had to come in and face the music, you said not to worry about it.. But you gave that smirk look like I hope this doesn't happen again. I will miss you, but definitely not forget you. In your words on the radio, "3-17 out."
Love you,
Happy-Camper

Ricky, we have known each other about 23 years when we both started working for CMCSS. I was working at Ringgold and your boys both started elementary school somewhere around that time. You have always been such an inspirational, positive man. It was a pleasure to know and work with you. I know your Transportation Family is taking this very hard as I'm sure your Wife and the rest of your Family are. Please wrap your loving arms around them and let them know it's going to be okay. We are all going to miss you but we will see you again one day.

Ricky, you are gone way too soon. We had such great conversations while you swept my room at KES. Family, I'll always remember Ricky as a most kind and caring gentleman with a big and loving heart for all people. I'll never forget that big smile and happy laughter he shared with all of us. So sorry for your loss.

Deacon Lumpkin's life speaks for him. While recovering at home his Sunday class and I sent a lovely card that they all signed. He loved those children, and they loved him. He encouraged them to be successful in regular school also by ensuring each honor roll student at Community Chapel received a medaled ribbon around their neck. That's just one aspect of his service to the young and to the old. My granddaughter, myself and all informed of his untimely demise were astounded and immediately expressed grief after learning of his transition from this life to another. He'll be missed by so many. His reward will be great in heaven! As his former secretary I was affectionately known by him as "Sis B." God bless the family who remain dear in our hearts and prayers.

In Deepest Sympathy,
Ricky was a friend and brother in Christ.
He loved his wife, sons, and family dearly.
Ricky will be missed. He fought a good
fight. He kept the Faith. May the Promises of
God that were given long ago keep our hearts
filled with peace on the journey. We will see
Ricky again in Heaven.
