Ricky Wayne Patterson

Ricky Wayne Patterson, 66, of Tucson, Arizona, went to be with Christ on March 28th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Ricky was born on January 18, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Johnny and Rosalie Patterson. He graduated from Choctaw High School in 1975. He traveled to work in the aircraft industry after graduating and before moving to Arizona in 1978. There he met the love of his life, Ilene, and they were married on May 2, 1980. They welcomed two children and several grandchildren over their almost 43-year marriage. Rick continued to work in the aircraft business, which took him and his family all over the country. He ended his career working at Honda Jet in Greensboro, North Carolina. Even through all his travels, Tucson remained his home. He was a devoted Lutheran and enjoyed volunteering with his church and studying God's word. He was an avid bowler and golfed recreationally throughout his life. In his free time, you could find him spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Ricky is survived by his wife Ilene Patterson, son Aaron Patterson (Melissa), daughter Jennifer Fierro, grandsons "AJ" Aaron Patterson Jr. and Patrick Robb, granddaughters Kailyn and Macey Patterson, his father, Johnny Patterson, sister Pamela Hunnicutt (Frank), and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Patterson and nephew Chad.

Services are planned for Friday, April 14th, 2023. Burial will be held at 9 am at East Lawn Cemetery. With a memorial service following at 10:30 am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ. A reception following at Udall Park ramada number 6. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ, or Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Kernersville, NC.
