I was very saddened tro hear that Rick had passed away. I was a patient of his and in all my years he was the only person who truly ever understood me. I feel like I have lost a very good friend and a person who gave so much of his life to the mental health community. People like him only come around once in a lifetime and he will be greatly missed!

Dear Phillips family, I am shocked and saddened to hear of Ricky's passing. I, like Sharon Crowe (Dupont) went to school with Ricky, rode the bus with him, graduated with him, played smear football with him, Danny Moody, my cousin Lorie and the rest of the Goose Creek gang.I took care of his grand-father at Cambridge house for a while. Ricky was our children's Dr and we all thought he was a great person and Dr. Our kids loved it when they got to go see Dr. Rick he always treated them with kindness and they thougth there was noone like him. they was very upset when i told them of his passing.
