The family extends its sincere thanks to doctors Ross A. Davies and Marcel Ruzicka and the Riverside Hospital Nephrology nurses. The family is indebted to Dr. Louise Coulombe's guardianship and provision in home visits during Qadri's final days.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the Riverside Hospital Nephrology Department and the Ottawa Heart Institute.

I only just heard the news of Mr. Qadri's passing from the Alumni Newsletter. It was a privilege being his student as a member of the Lisgar class that ultimately graduated from Grade 13 in 1981. I thought I knew Geography prior to taking his class, but learned so much more thanks to him. He taught with an integrated approach that combined learning extensive detail with salient relevant facts about places that enhanced retention of knowledge. I never realized I could learn and remember so much, but did, thanks to him. This was wonderful for intellectual confidence. He was a gentleman, a learned man and touched many, many young lives for the better. We were truly blessed to have a man of his high standards and thorough presentation among us.

My sincerest condolences, Giles Nicholson Lisgar 80/81

Dear Qadri family,

Words cannot express the great loss I know your experiencing. Papa was a great man with lots of care and compassion and wisdom. His family meant the world to him, that was evident as they were all present by his side as he journeyed to the next life. May Allah swt give you all patience during this time of great grief. But know, that God is watching over all of you.

Unfortunately Papa never had a chance to meet his new granddaughter but she will grow up under his guardianship as he watches over us. His memory will live on in our new family.
Miss you Papa!

A great teacher at Lisgar, fascinating stories and one of the reasons I went into Geography at Carleton University. The Class of 1985 mourns his passing. My Sympathy to all.

Pappa was a wonderful man and I and my family miss him dearly, but our memories will never be missed! Our dear grandfather, who always knew what advice to give like whether to go to drama school or law school, who always made us all laugh through his jokes about things like gum chewing, who always let us know we were loved, and who always knew what was best for each one of us! Love to all my fellow cousins, parents, aunts, and uncles! We will never forget! Love your first granddaughter, your most loved was us girls :)

Mr. Qadri was one of Lisgar's great teachers, and I'm sure that I am just one of many of his former students who are remembering him with great affection and a smile. My condolences on his loss.

My condolences to the Qadri family. Mr. Qadri was an excellent teacher who had passion for his subject and, as I recall, a pretty good sense of humour. I remember being fascinated by the fact he had been an Olympian, while he was off handed and modest about a feat i thought was huge..

Mr Qadri was one of our favourite teachers at Lisgar. My husband and I often speak of him with fondness.
There is comfort in friendship, hope in prayer, peace in love. Someone so special...can never be forgotten.
