Rigo was my younger, and, only brother. He was born in Augsburg, Germany at the family home at Von Richthofenstrasse 21. My first memory of Rigo is being awakened at 2 AM in the morning to see a crying newborn who had a head full of dark hair. He was the present my mom for telling me about for several months that I was going to get. He didn't look like a new bike. He was crying and all mouth - my new baby brother. Rigo loved animals and was very attached to and moved by them. A favorite memory of mine is taking him to see the movie "Born Free" when he was a little boy. He cried through the entire thing, unabashedly, especially, at the end, when the lion was set free into the wild. I thought to myself, at the time, he was the embodiment of innocence, empathy and connection to nature. Rigo was bright, charming, and, really funny, at times. This was a trait he shared with his Uncle Rigo. He had beautiful blue eyes - many people commented on them, often. So, when he was little he would run around and say to anyone who listened: "lady, lady, ook at my 'butiful', blue eyes. I took my mother's ashes home to Germany these last two weeks, and, firmly believe, that Rigo's spirit came with us on this journey. Rest in peace, little brother. May you be 'noodled' throughout eternity by your loved with whom you now reside. Peggy
