In memory of
Marissa Bond
November 26, 2006
Words are hard to find in this moment in time to express my thoughts. I was just thinking about RV last week and when we used to work together, only to find out tonight that he had passed. I guess he was saying his goodbyes to me even though I did not know what had already happened. My prayers and thoughts are with Erik and Donna during this time; he was always so proud of you guys and loved you with all his heart.
RV - if I ever make it to Utah, I'll look up to see the sky you mentioned to me as one as your favorite views in all your travels.
Peace be with you,
Thomas Grass

I will always remember Rik. I met him when I was still young and bought a guitar from his music store in my hometown of Knoxville, TN. Not long after that, I became friends with his son Erik and pretty much saw Rik all the time throughout my 20's. I always thought he was nice to me (even when he gave me a hard time to get a laugh out of me, lol) He was a good person, and I recall many moments with him, both hysterically funny and also serious.
The last time I saw him I introduced him to my fiance'. I asked his advice on buying a house. He said, "Whatever you do, don't pay what they're asking!!!" He made me laugh every time I ever saw him, even what would be the last time.
My sympathies go to the entire extended family, especially my friend Erik. I'm really sorry man. I liked your dad a lot. I hope it makes it a little easier to know he had a large impact on my life.
Love,
PollyAnne Whipple

RV, I'll always remember the days on the road with you. Thanks for the memories, and for producing the first album I was ever on.

Although we didn't know Rik personally, we have known him through our son, Clark, as a generous and kind man. Our prayers continue to be with you, his family and friends, and we are so terribly sorry.

For RV,
It is not often in life that you meet as a fine a person as RV. He had such a great vibe. He conducted business with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and honesty. He really made our work fun and I had the honor and pleasure of calling him a friend. It was a true blessing to have known him.
He was so full of life. I really miss that great laugh of his. It always brightened my day.
I am very sorry for your loss. I know you all were very close and adored him.
Although life on earth has been diminished for us all with his passing, I know that heaven has improved with his arrival.
I miss him, I love him, and I will never forget him.
Love,
Your friend,
Andrea Glidewell

Erik, I couldn't be more sorry for your loss. I called on Monday and asked for your dad and you said he wasn't in. You might not remember, but I mentioned how impressed I was by Rick and how he was indeed the nicest and most gracious gentleman I had ever worked with at a music store. I had no idea of his passing when I talked to you and ordered my Roland kit. Thank you for being so gracious in the midst of your grief. We are all diminished and you have my prayers and thanks that you are conducting business as a gentleman. Your dad would be proud.
