Diane, Gail and Carol. I just read about your mothers passing. I am so sorry to
hear this. If you don't remember me I am your mothers second cousin. Your aunt Lucy was my god mother. My thoughts and prayers go with you today.

I will never forget my sleep overs as a young girl with Rita. She loved having me over after the girls went to college. It was a lot of fun. I was spoiled by her. She also made the most delicious penuchi fudge. Will never forget those and other many fond memories of her and family get togethers.. All my love and condolences to you all.

Diane,Carol, and Gail, sorry to read about your mom. Having grown up on the " Island" playing at the park. Life was so relaxed there. I worked at Nichols, your mom was quick wit and didn't take crap from anyone she gave it right back, like most of the women who worked there. Your mom was thoughtful and caring. May you all find comfort in the memories of your mom and pass them on to others, will fill all with joy. Islander Forever George Proctor

Diane, Carol and Gail: Time alone will lessen your grief, and the many beautiful memories you have of your Mom and the joy and happiness she provided in the lives of you and family members will sustain you.
Please accept our deepest sympathy.

My wife Martha, very good friend of Rita's daughter Diane; introduced me to Rita over 40 years ago. What great memories I have of Rita. She could appear to be gruff on the outside; but she truly had the biggest heart. I enjoyed seeing her after mass at St. Joseph's on Sundays; but not for very long because she always had someplace to be. My deepest condolences to Rita's family.
