Bolton-Rita Benoit, 80, passed away on November 21, 2022 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Rita was born on May 13, 1942 in Poultney and was the daughter of Richard J. Pelkey and Margaret (Pitts) Crandall.
She married David Benoit, Sr. on December 2, 1962 in St. James Church in Essex.
First and foremost, Rita was a loving and wonderful mother who devoted her life to her children. She was a loving, caring and compassionate woman, with a great sense of humor, and an incredible sassiness. Her home cooked meals which were made with love, which where many memories were created. Rita also pursued many hobbies which she loved and enjoyed including bingo, garage sales, puzzles, crocheting and baking.
She is survived by: her children; David Benoit, Jr of Swanton, Daniel Benoit and his wife Deone of Johnson, William Benoit II of Hinesburg, Benjamin Benoit and his wife Stephanie of Hinesburg, Thomas Benoit, Sr. and his wife Kerry of North Hero, Suzette Deyo and her husband Scott of Richmond, Catherine Benoit of Richmond, Andrew Benoit and his wife Tracy of Bolton and Sarah Lefebvre of Hinesburg ; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a brother William Pelkey of Greenwood, Delaware.
She is predeceased by her husband David Benoit, Sr., her parents Richard J. Pelkey and Margaret Crandall, her brother Richard Pelkey and one grand daughter Danielle Marie Benoit.
A graveside service will be held on November 30, 2022 in Milton Village Cemetery at 11am.
