Memère,
It has been almost 11 months, and still today, I keep looking,
The smiles, hugs, and you're amazing cooking.
There are so many things I wish I could say,
Some of those things I could say everyday.
Eleven months later and it still seems too soon,
Singing along to each and every tune.
I miss you more with each new day,
Sometimes I wonder why you couldn't stay.
I still sing and laugh and remember the times,
When we would sing to Shania and Miss LeAnne Rimes.
Skip-Bo, Crazy Eights, and even bataille,
All the times playing with Guidaille.
I still miss you everyday,
I know it's not something I need to say.
I love you more than you'll ever know, Memère. Wish you were here, and yet so glad that you're finally better. You will never be forgotten.
Je t'aime.

Rita's memorial was a testament to who she was. A dearly loved Wife, Mother, Grand-mother ,Sister and Friend. Her smile and good humor was always at the ready. I will miss running in to her at Carlingwood, her yearly birthday calls.
She was a very special lady who had great influence in who I am today. She was an angel on earth who has been called home.

Eric & Family,
Just a few thoughts on the loss of a cherished Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. It is so obvious that the legacy Rita leaves behind relates to family values and the true meaning of the spirit of family. But Rita leaves another very important legacy too… for those currently battling cancer and those who will face the challenge in the future….fight hard and long, celebrate each success you experience focusing on what really matters most…..a true inspiration to be sure.
The cherished memories you shared as family are treasures you will always hold very dear in your hearts and minds and they will always be an intricate part of each of you and of generations to come. May they comfort all of you in the difficult days ahead.

Eric and family,
Our sincerest condolences on the loss of Rita. We've had so many wonderful times with her over the years. The Knights of Columbus parties, the "Silent" Nites get-togethers, and the many family events, have left us with so many wonderful memories of her.

Eric, Thinking of you and the entire family at the loss of Rita. Always think of the days on Spadina when you would make the spaghetti sauce (way too hot) and not let us drink anything until our plates were done. You boys also had the best "roadway" in the city for our dinky toys in the dirt of your backyard. See you all soon. Shane, Helene, Eric, Sophie and Nathan.

Eric, Rick, Bill, Ron & Papineau Families. It is comforting to see Rita's beautiful smiling face, that hasn't changed much over the years. A one paragraph obituary gives the highlights of one's life story. It was her family of which Rita was most proud. Well done Rita. Condolences to all of you. Vivian, Kathy and Bruce
