Hello Rita I. Jabs, I read your Obituary in Yesterday's Press Enterprise and again today.
I am a Roman Catholic whom has a Bible and I read your references to Proverbs 3:3-5 (Regarding let not your kindness and Felicity Leave You; Bind them around your neck, they will win you good esteem before God and Man; Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and on your own intelligence rely not.
John 3:16 (The way we came to understand love, was that the Lord laid down his life for us.
Joshua 1:5-7 ( nothing can with stand you while you live ...
Your wisdom in Scripture is passed on to me in my remaining life, Rita I. Jabs.
May you rest in peace knowing that your Philosophy of Life lives on in Me and those whom I share your thoughts with.
Thank you, Rita. And God Bless you Always,

Rita Irene Jabs, was noticed by me and brother Bob, at the July 4th Immanuel Church picnic in Bristol, Connecticut, in l956 or l957. The relationship beween Rita and Bob, grew and we would all go polka dancing or we might go to Long Island. Rita, lived on Willis Street in Bristol, and they would walk up South Mountain and perhaps pick blue berries. In their marriage at Immanuel Lutheran church in Bristol, Connectlcut, in l959, the entire family gathered for this was the first marriage of the four brothers, and this marriage was blessed for 56 years with both children and grandchildren. Both Bob and Rita were active in their churches and were hospitable hosts for visitors and family reunions. The signature statement which can be made about this Christ Canaan marriage was its loyalties to church, family, and community. They were faithful in their marriage vows to the end of their lives and we give thanks and praise that Jesus Christ was the real commitment of their long marriage life together.
Praise the Lord, rejoice in the Lord, for Rita now has the eternal home with her Lord and can sing praises before the Throne of God in German (Lob denn Herrn) or in English with her family forevermore.

Our beloved Aunt Rita was truly a treasure. She welcomed me into the Jabs family with open arms, no questions asked. Her "Pass It On" cards are a beautiful memory. I wonder how many people know that she was one of the "Keller Kinder" who lived as best they could in the bombed ruins of her native Germany at the end of WWII. Her stories of those experiences chilled me and magnified my wonder and admiration of this incredible Christian woman. She and Uncle Bob truly epitomized Christian devotion to each other throughout their blessed fifty six years of marriage. A true inspiration to all who knew her, her loss is hard to accept. Lord please lift up and support Uncle Bob, April, Steven, and all the grandchildren in your loving care through these tumultuous days to come.

My Precious Aunt Rita was Truly an ANGEL living among us on this earth . She tried to help everyone who was in need and loved to share her Tremendous Faith in Jesus Christ with everyone. She bought 1000's of these little " Pass It On " Faith cards with encouraging biblical passages which she mailed to me often and also gave out to strangers at McDonalds . I loved to go to her home for her delicious "homemade German Meals " a tribute to our Heritage . Ever since I was a little girl she loved to quote back to me every time I saw her " I a big girl now.. I in kindergarten :) " She just loved that and we would both roar with laughter ! She was one of the most Loving Beautiful Human Beings I ever met and we will miss her dearly..especially her daughter April and husband Uncle Bob and son Steve..gone too soon..Love Little Heather :)
