It was very sad to know that she is no more. I came to know only when I started my exam preparation. I received my copy of pmp book today. I was just reading the initial pages and came to know the sad news. Hope her soul rests in peace. Though I didn't see her I felt a great attachment with her.

My Aunt Rita.
Oh, her wonderful laugh and smile...and did I mention her laugh!
Quick with a laugh and even quicker with a hug.
I looked forward to our family reunions, even when the fireworks scared me. Aunt Rita was right there with her arms around me, squeezing me tightly.
Aunt Rita, I remember our "special talk" in the front closet. I heard every word you said and still apply it today.
And the handful of black cherry Knox Blox was a great touch!
My life has been blessed, and I am thankful for my Aunt Rita.
Love and Prayers, Your "Pretty Peppermint Patty"

I met Rita many years ago in Los Angeles, when she came to visit my partner Kathleen. And yet, after all these years, her twinkling eyes remain clear in my memory. She was witty, and her smile most genuine and warm. My condolences to her family and friends and to all who were close to her. The world is a little poorer for having lost this soul.

Aunt Rita was a loving, caring , smiling person who just happened to be my godmother which I'm so grateful. My real memories are from the Stankus family reunions at Grandma's house in West Virginia. She was a woman of faith and gave me a great present when my mom died 2 years ago. It's a poem called "the chain is broken". It talks about how the family on earth is broken due to loss but speaks of the reunion in heaven. I can't wait to see Rita and my mom again one day. I love you Aunt Rita!

Aunt Rita will be remembered forever for the twinkle that was always in her eyes and her wonderful laugh. I loved the times the whole Stankus family would gather for family reunions at the house in West Virginia --Rita was the one who scored a big stack of paper plates so the kids could all paint pictures and messages on them. I can't think of anyone who was more delightful to be around.
Rita, Rest in Peace.

RIta has been my very dear friend since we were young adults. We shared times of double dating, family's fun and vacations. She has been in our Ladies Club for 38 years. I love her and I am blessed to call her friend. A piece of my heart went to heaven with her. Peace and love, Jan Schmidt

to call her friend.
