I'm just learning about project management and have enjoyed learning so much through Rita's videos. I looked up her name on the internet hoping to find a way to hear her speak and sadly learned she has died. My condolences to her family and friends.

Rita jumpstarted my Project Management career and kept me going with my PMP path. Rita is very instrumental in helping me pass the exam definitely. She is a big, big loss to the industry.

Oh my GOSH! I have been so inspired by Rita -- her passion just shines through on her videos. She is a spirited creature who is deeply devoted to the success of those arround her.
She has been such a motivational force in my life. This news saddens me. I wish her family much love, this year must be so difficult for you. I am so sorry.

Sorry to hear of Rita's passing. What a gift she has given to so many people who want to get their PMP. Fascinating to see people from all over the world paying respect and condolence.

I met Rita at an event here in Minneapolis a few years ago. I had no idea she was ill. She gave away coffee mugs to all of us who had used RMC training to pass the PMP exam. I asked her to sign my mug, never knowing it would be so meaningful now. I told her I always ask myself in tough project situations "what would Rita do?", so she also signed WWRD on my mug. Every time I look at it, I'm re-energized.

I only knew Rita through her review course (but I felt a personal sense of kinship as a result). I can safely say that I am a PMP in part due to Rita's incredible coaching.
I am saddened to hear of her passing, and like many of her students, I will always be extremely grateful for her instruction. My condolences go out to all of her family and friends.

Rita first became known to me when colleagues ask if I had "Rita's book" while studying for my PMP. Once discovered, her unbounded enthusiasm for the craft made its mark on each and every one of us PM students. My hearfelt condolences to Tim, Kerry and Connor for this untimely loss of your nearest and dearest. She has left her legacy to the wider world and we thank her for that. I just learned of Rita's passing. I am extremely sadden by the news. Rita was a fantastic individual. I first met her at a PMI event in California only to learn she lived in my home town! She was always full of spirit and energy. Her realistic view of things and her ability to make everything she did full of fun and energy.

So sorry to hear about Rita's passing. I never had the privilege of meeting her in person, but she was an inspiration to me through her passion about Project Management. It was her PMP review book that helped me pass the exam and I continue to refer to it for her straight-forward writings on complex concepts, she was a gifted communicator and will be missed. I also used Ms. Mulcahy's preparation guides which were fantastic and helped me get over the hump of passing the PMP exam. I am very sad to hear of her passing. What a young, successful, vibrant, trailblazer. This is another tragic testimony to the battle women fight to overcome breast cancer and the battle doctors and researchers fight to find a cure. I was extremely sad to hear about this tragedy. I used Rita's book to prepare for my PMI exam. Although I was already an experienced PM at that time, her book, and especially her excellent comments to the answers to test questions, helped me learn more than all the PM courses I ever took. Rita was one of those wonderful professionals, passionate not only about her work but also about sharing her knowledge. It is devastating that she had to suffer, to leave so early - early for her, early for her young family, and early for all of us in the worldwide PM community. Rita, you will always be with all of us, all those PMs who will be better at what we do because of all the insights you shared with us!

Thank you, Rita. My first memory of Rita was at a PMI Symposium many years ago. I was a providing oversight for a speaker in a room next to where she was presenting. Twice I had to ask her to lower the volume of her enthusiastic presentation and raucus laughter from her large audience.We had a good laugh after her presentation. I remember every word of her presentation (through the wall)...I cannot remember a single word from the speaker in my room (smile). Her enthusiasm and contributions to project management will be sorely missed. You and your family are in my prayers.

I had the privilege of getting to know Rita over the last year and half when she so generously opened her home to a group of us on monthly Saturday mornings to practice Qigong. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Rita's passing. I first met Rita in 2004 when she was my instructor for a week-long project management class. Rita was an excellent instructor, and I admired her vibrant personality and her contagious enthusiasm for the discipline of project management. I was lucky enough to get to know Rita at Insider's Club. I still have a post-it in my office with a big "P" on it. Do others remember that lesson? It was about positivity and how it impacts the person we're dumping on when we complain. Her legacy is much greater than that, but now that lesson holds even more meaning as I think of how positive she was despite her personal struggles. What a generous person with her time and inspiration!
