(nee Gibeau)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rita. She passed while surrounded in the loving presence of her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Emilie (Gerry) Keane and grandchildren, Craig, Sean and Colleen, Lou (Marguerite) and grandchildren, Renee and Kaylie, Joanne (Michael) Boothby and grandchildren, John-Michael, Alysha, Megan, Don (Lea) and grandchildren, Gilles, Danielle and Michelle, Alice (Peter) Kshyk and grandchildren Corey and Breanne and Marie Prefontaine, and grandchildren, Jennifer, Carlee and Zachary; 20 great- grandchildren; siblings: Romeo, Olive, Maurice, Fernand, Eugene and Joe;
as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rita was predeceased by her husband, Emile, and sister, Estelle Gibeau.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert Parish, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. A private Interment will take place at a later date in Legal.
The family thanks Dr. Wasey, Dr. Bennett, Dr. Suen, and Dr. Singh and the nursing and respiratory staff in ICU and Unit 28 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for their empathetic and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation, 201 Boudreau Road, St. Albert, AB, T8N 6C4.

To Alice and family. Your mom is the most amazing woman I have known. She raised seven beautiful children who are just like her and for that this world is a better place. Having dealt with Rita for close to 30 years was always an uplifting experience but knowing her for the last 60 years was truly a blessing. She was a grand and gracious lady and we will truly miss her. Her memory will live on in all those who she touched. Our heartfelt sympathy to all the family.

I have so many wonderful memories of your mom and my sleepover visits at your house - she was so kind and wonderful to me - her loving heart always ready to lend us a hand or smile - my memories of your mom and the family members I got to know during my visits will always bring me a smile - I was so happy to have been able to see your mom at my uncle's funeral this past summer - she was still as beautiful as I remembered her.
