Rita Margaret Qualey

I think of Rita I bet every day. She’s in my recipe box, in my sewing treasures and this spring the daffodils came back So many special moments and will always be with me.

John and I (Marie) Cignatta want to express our condolences to all of Rita's kids, grandkids and other family. We have many happy memories of your Mom. She was such a talented lady and funny too. We have had you all in our prayers and will continue to keep you all there. God Bless.

My mom, Mary Wager (Glen Cove, Long Island, NY) & myself (Liz Hussian Luzietti~Newtown, Connecticut) would like to express our condolences. Rita was my grandmother's ("Kay" Mary Catherine Rush Wagner) first cousin. I have lots of great childhood memories of her as well as adult ones. For example, when my city(ish) kids were curious to see what a cow's feet looked like, when in Maine, we went straight to see Rita.

Dear Anna and family, I'm so sorry that you lost your mom for now. We'll see her again one day and she'll probably be the one setting up the "banquet table" up there and telling everyone where they can sit so she can wait on all of us!!! Dear Qualey family, I am at a loss for words adequate to express my sadness for you all. I am so pleased had the wonderful opportunity of knowing your mom, thank you Helen, and I know heaven just received one of the most special angels. You are all a reflection of your mom in the way your treat people with respect and empathy. Not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. I am so sorry for your loss.

Ill always remember Aunt Rita and her fabulous house and kitchen over the years. Such a wonderful woman that enjoyed life and all the people in hers. She will never be forgotten. Love you Rush and Qualey family. My sympathy and god bless.

We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Rita's passing. She was a wonderful lady, always with a smile. I remember how she used to call us the ones with the big french wedding, she knew how to have a good time. Love to all of you and cherish your memories. xo

I can still smell the bread in her kitchen, her kindness and joyfulness will always be with us all. Rita was the perfect Aunt, I always felt welcomed and loved, and was always well fed with food and laughter anytime I visited, my family will miss her dearly. Our prayers are with you all.

Your mother was a wonderful woman. I loved her. She always made me feel so welcomed and loved. I am so fortunate to have known her! I am so glad that I got to spend some time with her a couple of years back.

To the Qualey and Rush Families,

My heart goes out to you on the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, aunt and cousin. I only knew Rita through the Rush Family reunions. She was always wonderful to me and so willing to tell me about the Rush family and their history. I spent several wonderful moments with her at the Rush reunions, where she always had time for very distant cousins like myself (2nd cousin, twice removed) who had many questions about Benedicta and the Rush Family. I will miss chatting with her very much.

What an upbeat positive person she was. She would say she was amazed at all she accomplished in her lifetime and was especially proud of her family. She was a joy to know and Will be missed by many many friends. God' s blessing on all who knew and loved her.
