Pamela and family, My condolences at the passing of your mother. It has been many years but the memories of "play-dates"at you home and at being classmates at St.Joe's are vivid yet. Peace!

Rita was always the epitome of what a mother, hostess and kind soul that anyone would be privileged to meet. I was fortunate enough to spend time at her kitchen table with Buck. Spending time in the heart of Clifford & Rita's home, talking about Paul and Buck growing up together with all the kids. Those were very happy times. Rita was a very loving, dear lady that will be missed by every life she touched.

I will always remember Rita for the nice lady she was, and even though she was no taller than half of us kids when we all stood together, when she raised her voice everyone listened, and she didn't hesitate to get stern when she thought the situation called for it. I would have to say that her greatest accomplishment was raising a great bunch of kids who all grew up to be good people who earned, deserved, and gave respect just as she thought they should.

Dear Aunt Rita:
Thank you very much for being my godmother over the years… no one is ever too old to have a godmother! Just this past Thanksgiving, Cindy was showing her father, sister and brother the wooden wishing well Uncle Cliff had given to her some number of years ago during a visit to the Michigan homestead. Cindy had Uncle Cliff sign it on the bottom. To this day, it commands a prominent location in our home in Philadelphia. It reminded me of the fun times we had as kids gathering at the farm during the Christmas Season… lots of cousins! Thank you for opening your home to us and making us all feel welcomed and special. While your infectious smile and loving heart will be missed, they will never be forgotten by those they touched.
Lovingly, your godson, Mark Schaub, Aberdeen, South Dakota
