Rita K. Stephens, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 14, 2023. She was born on December 25, 1976, in Stanton. Her loving family and friends mourn the loss of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of those around her.
Rita's life will be celebrated through two events. On September 18, 2023, at 3:00 PM, a visitation will be held at Mayfield Baptist Church located at 700 West Hutchins Place in San Antonio, TX. Following the visitation, at 4:00 PM, there will be a Church Service to commemorate Rita's life. We invite all who knew her to come together and share stories and memories that reflect her joyful spirit.
Rita was known for her kind heart and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Margaret Courtney.
Left to cherish her memory are her father Mark Zocher, mother Connie Zocher, and husband Greg Stephens.
Rita's legacy lives on through her children: Mark Zocher; Brittany Taylor; Justin Zocher; Jessilynn Zocher; her siblings: Tasha Zocher; Mark Zocher; Taura Upchi; Shaelynn Zocher. Additionally, she is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Mariposa Zocher; Christian Zocher; Aubrey Zocher; Mark Zocher; and Aurora Zocher. Each one holds a special place in her heart.
Rita's kind and generous soul extended beyond her immediate family, as she had a close friendship with Katie May, who also mourns the loss of a treasured friend.
Throughout her life, Rita brought joy to all those around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. In this time of mourning, let us find solace in the knowledge that Rita K. Stephens has left an indelible mark on our lives and hearts.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
