Rita Titone Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 15, 2005.
Titone, Rita, 85, a resident of Margate, passed away on January 14, 2005. She had been a Florida resident since 1990, moving here from Brooklyn, New York. She entered into this world as Vita Ditta, on June 21, 1919, the youngest child of immigrant parents from Italy, Antonino and Providenza. At a very young age, she was taken out of school, but later fulfilled her dream of getting a college degree (Associate of Arts from New York City Technical College, 1984) after raising six children. She married her husband Anthony when she was nineteen; he was the first and only man that courted her. He worked two full time jobs while raising the family and she was the quintessential housewife. She dedicated her life to her husband and children. A product of the depression, she was always worried about the welfare of her family and the uncertainty of the future. She will be dearly missed by her husband Anthony. She is also survived by her children, her oldest son Anthony Jr. (a lawyer and former City Attorney - Prosecutor for Lauderhill), her son Joseph (a lawyer and former Florida State Representative), her son Donald, a realtor, her daughter Rita, and her son John. She is also survived by thirteen (13) grandchildren and twelve (12) great grandchildren. Her oldest child Rosemary, pre deceased her in 1999. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 16, 2005 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, at the funeral home. A chapel service will be held at 7pm. KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER 1655 N. University Drive Coral Springs, FL 33071 954-753-8960.
