Rita Winch

Rita A. (Gennari) Winch, 83 of Southwick passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at their family home where she was cared for and loved by her family. Rita was born in NY on March 23, 1937 to the late Cesare and Elveria (Veneroni) Gennari. Presided by her husband Paul Winch in 2017, Rita just couldn’t adjust to life without her husband. As a military wife she traveled and raised five children. Rita work at Southworth Paper co, where she retired to take care of her parents. You could always find Rita in the kitchen cooking creating her own recipes or teaching her children, grandchildren how to cook. You could hear Rita yelling during any Red Sox game, could catch her watching John Wayne movies, Star Wars series for the 100th time. Rita is survived by her five children, Denise Bienvenue and Fiancé Dave Tufano; of Brooklyn CT, Matthew C. Winch; of Southwick, MA, Lisa A. Anderson and husband Russell E. Anderson; of Southwick, MA. Mark P. Winch and wife Christine (Henderson) Winch; of Granville, MA. and Sharon E. Winch and wife Pam Fortin of Windsor, CT. Rita leaves her grandchildren; Matthew Winch Jr., Tabatha Winch, Sherrie Girard, Alex Bienvenue, Joshua Girard, Sean Bienvenue, Madison Winch, Zachary Girard, and Nolan Winch. Her Great Grandchildren; Braiden Winch, Savanah Winch, Cally Clendenin, Aiden Winch and Dominic P. Gilpatrick. Rita also leaves her only living sibling her baby sister Gloria (Gennari) Penney and husband William Penny of Southwick, and their two daughters Kara & Alysia Penney. She was predeceased by a nephew John D. Cigal. All services will be private, she will buried in Southwick New Cemetery Southwick, Mass.
