Rob was a unique salesman with a style all his own. During the tumultuous steel market of the past decade a vist from Rob began with an overview of the market. From there, the conversation went to the price point that the market might dictate, but also a genuine concern of his if that was going to be the point at which you, his customer would remain competitive. The relationship was built on a partnership and win/win for both parties. Rob's casual, easy-going personality made working with him a pleasure. He had a large impact on the success of our business over the years we worked together. Even in poor health he stayed committed to his industry and customers. All of us at Capital Industries will miss Rob and extend our deepest sympathies to Sylvia and family.

My Mom and I just wanted to send our condolences in the loss of Rob. I know first hand what it is like to lose a brother and my heart goes out to you. I fondly remember both you and Rob growing up in West Point Grey Church and through the years at Lord Byng. Thinking of you.

Dear Sylvia,
I don't have to tell you what a great guy Rob was. Everyone who knew him was blessed. I will miss his sense of humor and easy going smile. Rob was the kind of guy that always made me feel at ease. And, he made a superb latte. :-)
When someone we love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. I will treasure all my memories of Rob. There's not a bad one in the bunch.
Love,
Sue

Rob and I met as kids when we were seven years old. We were part of an all guys gang all around the same age and we had a terrific time growing up. It is incomprehensible that Rob is no longer with us. He was such a nice guy and good friend. The world is a sadder place without him.

Rob was a great soul who greeted everyone with a smile and always left them smiling. He was a giant both in stature and in character, always looking to have fun, and a great friend to those that shared his interests and passions. Rob was a pleasure to spend time with, enjoying a good meal, a friendly drink or a funny story. He will be missed by those who loved him, but more importantly he will be remembered by all who knew him.

What a beautiful tribute to Rob - it captured his essence so perfectly! Rob was such a gentle man and a gentleman. It is wonderful to have had him in our lives and for his presence to live on in us. Rob was a tremendous colleague and friend. A very special memory was when six of us stayed at Burrowing Owl Resort a few years ago and the attached picture is of that time. Sylvia, we are happy to be with you in remembering Rob. You were great for each other and us. Thank you.
