I have a lot of memories of Coach Dunne in the fall of 1969 when he coached us to our 1st state cross country championship...doing half mile intervals at the Jerome horse track and how much better as a team we became...learned that hard work and persistence paid off...I am very grateful that I had the privilege to have him as a coach. I am still working as a physician and still doing ultramarathons and there is rarely a day that I don't think of something from the cross country season in 1969 where I had Coach Dunne as a coach and the privilege to be a member of the first state champion cross country team at Jerome.

Sorry to hear about Tim's passing. Condolences to the entire family. Tim and I were good friends in the mid 1960's at Idaho State U. I was a distance runner for ISU and remember that Tim was one of the few teammates that would stand on the side of the track and encourage me on in the mile and two mile races Tim also was the lead runner in our distance medley race and ran the 440 in 47 seconds! Please remember Tim and his many accomplishments. They were amazing!

I first met 'Timmy Dunne' in 1967. I don't think he liked me much. To me he was an
upperclassman and a legend on the ISU Track
Team. To him I was a young punk from California looking to earn a spot on the Mile Relay team...I received the news today of his passing, and as it is not easy to find the right words to express one's feelings at times like this - there is one
that belongs to Tim exclusively...He was
a competitor, a fierce competitor, and he
made those around him competitors. I am sad
- he was truly one of Track and Field's last real 'Cinder-Men.' I will sign this with the 'nickname'(as he smiles) he gave me upon our first meeting: 'Jimmy Mack !'

Mary and family
I am still in shock after reading Timothy"s obituary. Please accept my condolences and my prayers. I've been sitting here, thinking of our long friendship, and how I've so enjoyed the times we worked together, laughed together, and shared so many stories about our families. Take care my Dear. Love you, Lorel
