I have been listening to Robbie since the 1970´s. He and his fellow bandmates created a unique sound that has become timeless. It is very appropriate that he will always be remembered kindly, in association with that eternal music. R.I.P. - from New Zealand

I was deeply sadden to learn of the passing of Robbie Robertson, singer, songwriter and all round musical genius. His work with Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks, Bob Dylan and The Band was nothing less than extraordinary. I was privileged to see Robbie perform live with Eric Clapton at Clapton's Crossroad Guitar Festival 2007 in Chicago. It was a day to behold purely from a musical perspective. While Canada has lost a native son, the world has lost a musical genius. Rest in Peace, Robbie. You will be missed.

Even my kids are sad! They grew up listening to Robbie's music as he was my all-time favourite artist and I played him constantly. I must have played his self-titled album and Storyville a thousand times each over the years. The soundtrack to my life.
My sincere condolences from Australia to his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
A vanishing breed indeed, no-one was as cool as Robbie!

Nobody made the kind of music that the Band made. They were singularly unique and incredibly special. Robbie Robertson was a cornerstone of the genre they created that was all their own. RIP Robbie, life was truely a Caranival.

Robbie was a true American Dream & Legend.... His voice & sound made hearts & many heads turn to a non familiar sound. Immediately hearing The Weight would bring a pattern of vibration thru your heart & body without ever hearing it before. I loved him & will always be moved by him. He will truly be missed & loved..

Just found out the Robbie Robertson passed 3 days ago on August 9th, 2023. Seems all of the heroes of my youth are passing and soon it will be my time too. I'm thankful I've been able to be blessed to find and follow all of the greats since the mid 60's and Robbie was truly a great and kind man. Thanks Robbie and Godspeed as now you're playing in the Creator's band now and I'm looking forward to seeing that show when I get there RIP Robbie.

I know he was so much more than The Last Waltz... however, it's the first thing I think of when I hear his name. It was so special, and quite beautiful... those moments captured on film. Lightening in a bottle, thank you for releasing it into our ears. That goes to all upon that stage.
My ears would first hear his voice, as my older brother would play The Band on the record player, and as a kid, learning about music in the early to mid 70s....Thank God! The talent, the music, and lyrics and how it made one feel? The only word that comes forth is Gratitude.
Godspeed Robbie Robertson... Deepest heart-felt condolences to your Family and friends. Who truly knew you, Play on, as youth is regained, and the soul eternal.
Thank you for the music, a true expression of all the human emotion shared between those in love... a faceless fan in the sea of those who will forever come to hear you play.
