Dear one´s,
Not sure how to put into words what my amazing cousin, Bobby means to me. He was the reason, source of inspiration and mentor to me that developed my love of all things wild. Special, fond memories of playing in the tree house and creek behind his beloved childhood home in Ashtabula OH. He always was saving and nursing back to health any number of species of small creatures that lived in his families lush forest. It was because of Bob that I became a National Park Service Ranger and which eventually led me to my union with my sweet MONTANA born husband. Together, with our Sons we traveled and worked in four different National Parks and I know Bob always dreamt of visiting us in our wild surroundings. I was forever amazed at the adventure trips Bob would put on and wanted so badly to join him on one. I love you cousin Bobby and I´ll look forward to hanging out with you in paradise when the Lord calls me home.

While I was not able to meet my dear friend Brianna´s father, Bob, his kindness, adventurousness, positivity, empathy, intelligence, passion for learning and helping others, and exploring and embracing the world, very clearly shine brightly and are sustained through her. My deepest condolences to the entire family as you grieve this great loss.

I have not talked to Bob in many years. I sure remember he, Bill Lipman and Curtis Blagburn being together and they surely knew how to enjoy life and laugh together. I am blessed to have know Bob Adams and I am thankful for his Godly influence on students, parents and colleagues at TCA. God rest your soul brother,

I led a Bible Study home group in the early 80's that included Bob. I asked the question of the men in the group, "If money weren't an issue, what would you be doing right now?" Bob, who was running a team of people using computers (at night when they weren't being used) for another company....said, "I would be teaching". He went back to school, followed that dream and was a blessing to so many. Not many people make that kind of decision and are as successful as Bob.

Bob, I wish I could have met you.

I've only come to know you through the eyes of your daughter, Brianna. I met her a few years ago in our Denver run club. I was instantly drawn in by her warmth, compassion, and spicy sense of humor. Altough I don't get to see her as much as I'd like these days, I consider her one of closest friends. From spending hours and hours and hours running with her, I had come to understand through her stories about you and her family that her keen sense of emotional intelligence, kindness, earnestness, and inclusivity had been cultivated from growing up in the family that you and your wife raised in the warm light of God and intention of good will. I listened admiringly to her stories and reflections about what lucky girls she, her sisters, and mother were to have you as their loving father and husband.

Your memory will be deeply cherished by your family and friends. And, for those of us who know you only through the beautiful experiences they've generously shared, we hold your memory warmly in our hearts, too.

I met Bob for breakfast when I was interviewing at TCA in 2005 - he was the first TCA teacher I met! I am better off as a follower of Jesus, as a parent, and as an educator for having been able to share some of my years in the TCA Middle School with Bob. His kindness, example, love of God and His creation, and sense of humor are some of the qualities I so enjoyed and appreciated.

Bob was a great friend and member of The Lone Eagle Fellowship, the highest recognitioin for a Deerfoot Lodge camper/counselor. I knew Bob for more than ten years and we always brought joy and warmth through his friendships. Bob's Lone Eagle name is Glowing Embers which Bob wanted to signify his "desire to remain constantly glowing-giving warmth." Bob was recognized as a Lone Eagle in 1972. He was a loving brother in Christ to all who had the privelidge to know him.
Sincerely, Paul A. Barnes. Lone Eagle "Blueflame" 1967. Thanks Bob and family for making so many others better Christans and joyous people.

Mr. Adams was my 9th grade biology teacher. He was truly one of the very best and always had a smile. I do remember being in his class and watching the Challenger explosion back in 1986 and what a traumatic time that was. I pray that God's perfect peace and comfort surround your family during this time of sadness and loss.

Mr. Adams was one of my teachers at TCA in 2011. More than anything, I remember about him that he loved the Lord, and he cared about us as students. He was truly authentic in his walk and he shared his faith with us more than other teachers that I remember. I always looked forward to my time in his classroom or out in the field. I am proud to have known him.

Dear Rhonda and daughters:

On behalf of myself and the men of the Deerfoot Lodge Ole Hardwood Cabin may we express our deepest sorrow on the passing of Bob - or as he was known in a group full of nicknames, "Baaadams!" He was one of the early members of the "cabin" and he always sat in rapt attention to the stories from us "old guys" or the devotions presented by the cabin members or our guest speakers.

No words could fully express our sorrow - but you are not alone, we are here for you whatever you may need - so please feel free to reach out to any or all of us for whatever reason.

Lastly, but most importantly, we know that Bob is with the Lord in a glorious heaven and home where one day - as believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ -- we will all meet again. What a day that will be!!!

Badams was Island Section Chief my first year at Deerfoot. His heart for our Lord and love for DL & the ADK wilderness drew me into pursuing the same. I went on to be a guide and staff for 4-5 summers.

Great memories of working with Bob, "Badams" many a summer at Deerfoot Lodge. I have been praying along with you this past year or 2, grieving with his struggles with dementia. So very heartwarming and encouraging to hear of his entire life being a testimony in service to our Lord. I believe that we can all rejoice along with you in a life well lived and in his spirit being fully restored by his Redeemer!

We were all youngsters. Visiting Grandma Clymer, or might have been at Aunt Lena. Someone suggested we all do something to entertain the rest. We took turns doing so. But I always remember Bobby describing a horse race. It was exciting, one horse, then another! And, on the last turn, it was, a piece of toilet paper leading the field and winning the race. We all had a good laugh. As another generation used to say, "He was a good egg". And I agree, not hard boiled, but, sunny side up. Gods speed. Barry Nolan

Dear Rhonda and precious daughters,
I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was a kind and loving person and fellow teacher. I remember how much he loved his daughters and took such interest in their education during the middle school years when we taught across the hall from one another. I know that he leaves behind many treasured memories and will be greatly missed by so many.
Blessings in Christ,

Dear Rhonda and family,
Our hearts hurt for you and with you over Bob's passing. While we didn't have the privilege of meeting him, we know he was a great man and see that evidenced in the marriage and family you created and through the lovely daughters you've raised. You are close in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers.

We could fill an album with pictures of Bob and his critter friends. His love for the Creator and the creation was often intertwined. We are grateful for his strong faith, his love for nature, his grin when he was up to no good - or temporarily lost a critter, and his deep appreciation and love of his family. Nothing made his face light up like talking about one of his daughters, their families, or Rhonda´s overall love - and patience!- with him. He knew he was blessed, and we were all equally blessed to count him as a friend. The Science department at TCA was better because he was a part of it.

Rhonda and girls, I'm terribly sorry to hear of Bob's passing. What a joy he was to visit and work with. He always had kind words to share, and I loved that smile of his! His enthusiasm for teaching and pouring into students was profoundly evident. Your family made TCA a better place. I'm lifting you all up to our Father for comfort and floods of treasured memories.

I remember having Mr. Adams in both eighth and tenth grade. He was such a fantastic teacher. I actually mention him in a book I wrote recently about a lesson he taught us on "the strong force" in atoms and how it showed what the Bible says in Colossians 1:17 that "in Him all things hold together." He had such an impact on all his students. His faith and his love for science was so evident in his teaching!

I have clear and fond memories of 9th grade biology with Mr. Adams, who I remember as kind and gentle. Teachers live on in the memories of their students. Thank you for investing in so many. My condolences to the family.

I am sure many people share the memories I have of Mr. Adams joy full enthusiasm when teaching our girls. How fortunate they were to have a teacher who had so much knowledge of nature and who could expand their view of the world. I will pray for your family and am so sorry for your loss.

I just read of Mr. Adams´ passing and went straight to my bookshelf to find the Texas Wildlife book he gifted to me when I won the science academic award for field ecology 15 years ago. I still think of him every time I hear a bird call and know what it is without even having to look. He was the best teacher I ever had at TCA

Bob was one of my favorite teachers during my time at TCA and I actually had him in both 7th Grade and in High School! I learned many things I remember to this day from his Field Biology class as it relates to Texas lands, plants and animals. It was so cool how he took us into nature during the class and even went to his ranch! Such great memories. I will certainly be praying for his family.
