In memory of
Larry George
April 28, 2007
Barbara. I dont know if you remember me but I played softball with Bob on the old ATT long lines ball team. I also worked with Bob at 1425 Oak. I still remember him running up the stairs to get in shape for his hunting trip out west
He will surely be missed by all who
had the honor of knowing him

Dear Barbara- Cynthia and I heard about Bob from Mary Ann Davidson, and I just wanted to express my sympathy for you and your kids, and tell you how much I thought of you and Bob, and our great adventure together. It was a pretty funny thing to be thrown together in that situation, and to have someone like Bob to share a tent with was a sheer stroke of luck. He never got mad, unhappy, tired, just steady, and kept us together in some hard times. I remember sitting in a little snow depression in front of a tent on Mustag Ata in China, and Bob cooking my freeze dried noodles, because I was too tired. And sitting in that beautiful lodge on Mt. Rainier one night, having a beer and just talking. He was a great guy with great integrity, quiet, and wrote wonderful letters, and I will miss him. Cynthia and I send our sympathies to you. We were lucky to have him!! Alex Brandon asked about him, and Alex's mother, who writes for the paper here in Little Rock that sponsored our Everest trip, might call you to do an article on Bob in the paper, if you don't mind. We're thinking of you, and your children Sincerely, Bob East

Dear Barbara,Julie,Shawna & boys,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a quiet yet very strong man. We will miss his presence at our regular friday nite football games but I know that he will be there in spirit. We know that he is in a better place and no longer suffering. If you should need anything please feel free to contact me anytime.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

All of us at Ibex are sorry for your loss. The Kansas City climbing scene would not be the same today if it hadn't been for all of Bob's hard work. He will be greatly missed by all climbers at our gym. Our thoughts go out to Shawna and the rest of the Allison family. The climbing community lost one of the great ones.

Bob was so like the mountains he loved; he stood tall, he stood proud and he stood firm as challenging events stormed around him. It was an honor to know and work with such a wonderful man.

I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was a good person. He was one of our AT&T womans softball coachs'. we had a lot of good times at practice where as well as coach softball, he had us trying to hit hardball pitches, and at the end of practice taught us how to play golf. He was good natured and kind to all.

Bob was a great boss and mentor. He showed me that things could always be done better when everyone respected one another. He was a great man.

Dear Barbara,Shawna, & Julie,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I remember my very first backpacking trip to Wyoming with Bob. I did not even have all the equipment to go, but Bob made sure I had everything and we had a wonderful hike! Bob loved the mountains and he loved to be outdoors. He was a kind and gentle man. I will always remember my fun
hiking trips to Wyoming with Bob and Shawna. If I can help your family in any way, do not hesitate to call me.
