Adlean Hudson

Adlean Hudson “Tip” 88 of 24704 Rainey Creek Rd, McKenney, VA entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her residence.

Adlean was proceeded in death by 3 of her children, Gloria Hudson, John Hudson (Apple Head), and Willis (Fuzzy) Hudson.

Adlean affectionately known as “Tip” was born October 23, 1932, to the late Eddie and Lucille Morgan Hudson. Adlean loved to work outside, gardening and listening to gospel music but the love she had for family outweighed it all. Where ever her family went she was there with them.  She stayed on the go, even when her health started to decline. She raised her eight children and help rear –up her grandchildren and their children. She was also the caregiver for many of her family members. Adlean never met a stranger, she took anyone into her home and treated them like family. She had a kind and gentle spirit that attracted people. She didn’t say much but would always smile and nod her head. Adlean will be greatly missed by many.

Adlean leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Linda Gholson of Dewitt, VA. Ruby Hudson of Dinwiddie, VA, and one devoted Brenda Jones (Leon) McKenney, VA., two sons Tommy Hudson (Pinkie) of Douglas, GA. And David “Jap” Hudson of McKenney, VA. She also leaves 11 grandchildren one devoted, Sabrina Hudson who was her caregiver and was always by her side, 32 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild, a niece Mattie Ann Hudson, DeWitt, VA., a nephew, Clifton Jr. of Baltimore Md., and numerous other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home Petersburg, Chapel. Burial will follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park. A public viewing will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 12-7 pm at the McKenney Chapel.

The family would like to thank Dr. Akshay Dave, and Hospice nurses Debra Ball and Cathy Lewis.
