Robert William "Bob" Averyt passed away peacefully surrounded by his beloved family. He grew up in Bellaire, TX and attended Holy Ghost School. He later worked in the family business, Jim Jamail & Sons Food Market, founded by his grandfather, N.K. "Jim" Jamail. Bob was an avid lover and follower of all sports, especially baseball, his favorite. He was an expert in statistics, able to answer any question you asked. He took great interest in current events and could converse with anyone on any subject. Bob was known by many for his sincerity and goodness. His kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness knew no bounds or limits. Whether it be family, friends or strangers, he was always ready to extend his hand and heart when he noticed anyone in need. His gentle, loving, presence, unlike any we have ever known, will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, N.K. "Jim" and Mary Jamail; Robert T. and Agnes Averyt; his father, Robert Thomas Averyt, Jr.; and his brother, Tom Averyt. He is survived by his mother, Marian Jamail Averyt; sisters, Donna Averyt; Cyndi Averyt Levitt and husband, Danny; brother, Craig Averyt and fiancé Corina Acevedo; and his nephew, Spencer Levitt.

A visitation will be held Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the funeral service at 12 PM at Forest Park Lawndale.
