Robert B. Preston

With great sadness, I write of the sudden passing of my beloved Bob, known to some of his friends as Dredd. His untimely death was on October 31, 2023. Forever in my heart, he shall be immensely missed. Born on April 29, 1964, he was the sixth generation to carry the name Robert Burt. He grew up in Falls Church and Annandale, Virginia. At the time of his passing, he was living in Richmond, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Preston of Annandale, Virginia, and his father, John Preston of Whitby ,North Yorkshire, England. His surviving family members are his uncle Robert B. Groundwater, his aunt Sue Groundwater, and his cousins Suesan and Stephen. Bob will be remembered fondly for many things, especially his kindness, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor.
