One of the high lights of my life was being in a race with I I ran with Bobby Ballantine at Saluda Virginia....I said to him before the race that I was running my new late model... He said son, Just stay on the inside and everything will work out just fine.... Wow... Those were the days !!!

Still miss him wish we could do it again but I am sure he's leading or fighting for the lead at Heaven Speedway where he races now.

Saddened to hear of Bobby's passing. He was a true source of entertainment wherever he happened to be and Harry says he was one hell of a Boss. Look out Heaven, Bobby and Hoss are together again!! Our prayers go out to all of his family.

Bobby was a big part of my life. When I was a kid in the early sixties I used to pretend I was Bobby racing my cars in the dirt in the yard. My dad would take me to see him race at Dorsey and Beltsville. I like to think I'm his biggest fan. My biggest thrill was when they put a bounty on him and the Richmond drivers came in and they couldn't beat him. Just last year I was able to give him a copy of a picture he didn't have from his last feature win at Potomac. RIP Bobbie. My deepest condolences to his family. Danny Mayo.

Please accept our sincere condolences from the Rob Dorsey Family to the Ballantine family upon the passing of Bob Ballantine. Bobby Ballantine was one of a kind. Bobby's Mom, Margaret, was my 2nd Grade School Teacher. We retain fond memories that go back to the 1950's as a teenager, when I worked for Bobby's Father, Bill Ballantine Sr, building homes, alongside Bobby, Bill (Punky) , Georgie,and Tommy, to a business relationship with my son, Robby, and Dorsey Family Homes

My sincerest condolences to Bobbys family and friends. Bobby was always fun to be around at the track and had natural talent. I bet Hoss and Reds met him at the Pearly Gates, to help pin his wings on..
