James "Jim" E. Hanouw, 84, of Leland, IL passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born May 26, 1938 in Waterman, IL, the son of Albert and Grace (Leifheit) Hanouw. He married Jeannie Osmund on May 4, 1963 in Leland, IL. Jim was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, IL. He worked at Baker Feeds in Leland for over thirty years. He later worked at Electrical Materials of Earlville, retiring in 2006. Jim was survived by his wife, Jeannie, of Leland; Sister Mary Bark of Somonauk; Brother Gerald "Jerry" Hanouw of Leland; Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Diane Seward, and brother Charles Hanouw. A visitation for Jim will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday November 16, 2022 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Leland, IL. A Memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday November 16, 2022 at the church with Rev. Hope Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in rural Leland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Church in Leland, IL.
