Robert K. Barnett

ROBERT KAY BARNETT Bob was born January 3, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ray and Cora Barnett. He passed away at his home on Monday, January 21, 2013 from complications of diabetes. Robert moved to Highgrove, California with his family in 1947. He graduated from Poly High School. His first job was at Sages Grocery. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. He then went on to work at Hunter Engineering, which later became Alumax Aluminum. He was a truck driver for thirty years, with no accidents, and earned numerous safety awards before he retired. Bob touched many lives through his years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, playing blackjack and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Wanda Barnett; his children, Pam Barnett of Riverside, Julie Lynch of Wisconsin, and Daniel Barnett of Riverside; five grandchildren; Shanna Lynch, Shelby Lynch, Brandon Lynch, Allison Meister and Tiffany Barnett; one great grandson, Nolan Meister and two brothers, Ronald Barnett of Grand Terrance and Richard ("Barney") Barnett of Highgrove. There will be a graveside service held on Monday, January 28, 2013, 11:00 am at Olivewood Memorial Cemetery, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside, CA 92506.
