Today, it is with great sadness that I leave my sympathies for my father. My thoughts were with my father often. It gives me peace in my heart knowing that the family he chose, loved him and made him very happy. It also gives me peace to find out that he helped so many others, especially those at the Nazareth House in addition to his life’s dedication to those with special needs. My few childhood memories of him include those days camping at Gatineau, when he took us with his school kids. I spent the entire camping trip on someone’s shoulders and they loved it as much as I did. It was that dedication to those in need that may have given me my caring heart and patience for special people and led me down my career path as a Registered Nurse. I now travel to patients’ homes all over the county to care for them and I love every minute of it. Loving and caring for those in need must be in my blood. No hellos, no goodbyes, I’ll just see you sometime. I love you. Rest in peace, Dad. Love, your daughter, Donna. xxx

I am in deep shock to find out about the passing of Mr. Bob Bechard. As a former Paul VI student about 6-8 years ago, it was a privilege to of known a great man who is dedicated to his students. I will always remember a great teacher as well as his visits to Paul VI when he retired. My condolences goes out to his friends and family.

I received the sad news from a former student at Paul VI, Ms Melissa Agnello. I am still finding it hard to believe. I knew Bob for many years, having first met him when we were both students at Cardinal Newman High School just about 50 years ago. We were neighbours in Laval and we worked together at Vincent Massey and Paul VI. He was a truly dedicated teacher always trying to get more for the students. I extend my condolences to all those for whom he cared: his family, his students and his friends. Rest in peace, Bob.

My sincerest sympathy to Bob's family and close friends. May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten.

I had the great fortune of getting to know Bob the four years I worked at Paul VI. His dedication to the school and its students was inspiring. I will especially cherish all the great laughs we had before Governing Board meetings and at Camp Kinkora. Thank you Bob, you will be missed.

To Bob's Family ~ i was saddened to read of Bob's passing. I had the priviledge of knowing him when he was a Key Teacher with the MCSC - I worked at the Teachers' Union (FESCT) on Monkland Avenue (1969-1980) and came to know him both as a dedicated educator and an asset to the Board of the Credit Union. His is a life ended much too soon. The only consolation is that his death was sudden and, hopefully, pain-free. May he rest in peace.
