Robert William Belfiore

Robert William Belfiore Sr., 76, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 12, 2023. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to the late Samuel and Catherine Belfiore, on March 20, 1946 in Newark, NJ. In his younger days, Bob was a boy scout. He also played baseball on his local baseball team. Bob attended Essex County Vocational School in Newark, NJ where he specialized in printing. After graduating in 1964, Bob went to work at Ace Printing Co. in Springfield, NJ where he was employed until the mid 1990's. He then went on to work at Shoprite in the Appy Department until retirement. Upon retiring, Bob enjoyed spending quality time with the love of his life, Joan. He also devoted much time to watching and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob's family was his world. His grandchildren were clearly his pride and joy.

Bob is survived and missed deeply by his loving wife of 44 years, Joan Swanson Belfiore of Hackettstown, NJ; his children Alice (Daniel) Sabella of Blakeslee, PA, Tammy (Richard) Buschgans of Hackettstown, NJ, Vincent Belfiore of Hackettstown, NJ, Pamela (Freddy) Blair of Lexington, TN, and Samuel Belfiore of Clarkesville, TN; his sister Anna (George) Thompson of Surprise, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his son, Robert William Belfiore Jr., his brother, Richard Belfiore, his twin sister, Ruth Belfiore, and one grandson.

Services will be held privately on January 21, 2023 for his family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Lung Association would be appreciated.
