A brief note I wrote as a eulogy for my Dad...Love you so much Dad
Thank you everyone for coming. Thanks particularly to the kind words and tremendous support over the last few days. Bob Beuerlein was Great! or as one client would call in to Morgan Stanley and ask ..."Can you Get me Bob Beuerlein the Grape". I idolized my Dad growing up. He was the most dedicated father. never missing a practice or game. Most recently, his greatest joy was going to William's hockey and Lacrosse games and torturing the coaches and reff's.His face would turn a bright pink but that would later turn to a grin from ear to ear on the car ride home. If you knew my dad well you knew he loved to talk about the stock market and always had great tips after reading Barrons every weekend. That typically waited till after he explained how well Will played in his games and how many saves he made over the weekend. We all tried to live up to Dad's expectation. When I was younger I would ask how he did in his sports growing up....It was always..."I was All American. "In my eyes that was the pinnacle. Dad was the very best. We hoped that athletic ability would rub off. Dad always gave us confidence no matter what the circumstance . I saw that recently with How he talked about William. William was the MVP of his teams.He was an A student. Nothing made dad happier than talking about Will's achievements. If you saw his competitive spirit at any of our games, you knew he did everything possible to push the coaches and refs to make sure we saw as much playtime as possible. I am sure Will will agree , Dad's voice was 3 times louder than any other parent. I laughed recently at Will lacrosse game after hearing hearing his tremendous roar from the upper stands and cuzzing at the ref's. Dad never played hockey, soccer or lacrosse and never had any clue of the rules. No one could believe this gentile, reserved and unassuming man during the week,stomaching incredible volatility in the stock market with the utmost ease...could unleash this roar that would terrify even the most seasoned athletic parent. He wanted us to succeed.

Many of you knew Dad was a survivor. He never talked his own circumstance, surviving two different types of Cancer, at least one prior heart attack , and two world trade Center terrorist strikes. He took great interest in mentoring anyone new to Wall Street. He treated the shoe shine guys the same as he treated upper management. I hope that we are able to continue that unspoken chartacter trait. He helped me realize that as you get older not much really else matters and that family comes first and that every day is a gift. I am sure that's Dad gift and legacy to us... I see it in William...that upbeat personality..."you can do it" attitude. Dad was self made losing his father at 18. He put himself through college, became financially successful at a very early age,always put his family first, and had a tremendous work ethic. He worked until his last breathe on earth and sacrificed what could have easily been early retirement. He loved gardening and enjoyed his "let's take a tour of the gardens" , torturing us whenever a guest came to the house. Dad, you left us way to early... but taught me , William, Sandy and Pam the true measure of a man.... and to Will, "we are brothers for life and although Dad's in heaven , he is shouting down " you are an All American".

Bob and I talked investments (professionally) and gardens (nonprofessionally). He was an ace at both, and a lovely kind man. He has left a gap in the universe....

I am sadden to hear of Bob's passing. I will miss his bright spirit. My deepest condolence to all the family. May your hearts be comforted with the wonderful memories you have together.

Extremely sad and sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Beuerlein as a very nice man. Always supporting Will @ ice-hockey and lacrosse games.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of a class act. Bob was a long time customer of ours who was always sincerely interested in how our business was doing. He always had a smile and a kind word for all. I know that he loved his family very much and was proud of all his children. Our condolences. RIP Bob.

Dear Barbara and Family, We are so terribly saddened with Mr. Beurleins passing. He was a great friend to my family(especially my pop) and my staff. He was very caring, generous and made us laugh. Whatever you may need don't hesitate to ask.
