Ann Falk
December 13, 2019
Dear Family of Dr Biggs, My name is Ann Falk and Dr Biggs treated me for almost a year in 1969/70, I believe. I had severe inflammation of both optic nerves, never knew why, and my parents were warned I may lose my eyesight. I was 10 years old and under his treatment and supervision I retained my vision. I never knew that until the last drive home from his office almost a year later. I have always remembered he was the man who saved my eyesight. At 60 now, I have some specialist that are wondering if that was related to a possible auto immune condition I may have now. That led me to look him up and now I see he has passed.
7 years late, but I have never forgotten the man who must have studied so hard, that after many blood tests, and examinations of my environment, your father, without any other medical information to assist him in this unusual condition for a young girl in Lima, Ohio, found a way to help me keep my eyesight through his 11 months of treatment. I now get to tell that story again. I have to be one of 1000s whose vision he saved and enabled all of us to visually recall memories of our lifetimes!
What a wonderful legacy he leaves. I have never forgotten him or what he did.
