I just heard the news about Bob and am sorry for the great loss to his boys and all Bob's crew and friends. This obit is very well written, it sums him up nicely. I'll never forget what all Bob did for me. He was a great friend. I always respected how Bob was always smiling. Even the day his dredge rolled over and dumped his machinery into the bay... Which is when this photo was taken. He was still smiling, quickly making a plan to fix the problem! Bob was one of the good guys, for sure!

Back in 1980 Bob and I went out to western Minnesota to pick up his first airplane.....a Cessna 180 that he was going to put on floats and learn to fly, which he did....if it was mechanical, Bob could drive it or fly it.....my heartfelt condolences to Susanne and the rest of the family.....P.S. Alice's curtains still hang in the front windows of the Rossport Inn.....Ned Basher
