Robert "Bob" Fuerst Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 6 to Mar. 7, 2024.
Robert "Bob" M. Fuerst, 74, of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Watertown Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life and legacy will be announced at a later date. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.

Born on December 1, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bob was the proud son of Robert Leroy and Edna (Koske) Fuerst. A graduate of Greenfield High School, he went on to marry Deborah Casper in 1970. Bob built a rewarding career, first at Artos Engineering and then at Waukesha Bearings, where he applied his talents as a Business Systems Analyst.

Bob's passions extended beyond his professional life. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved being out on the water fishing-bass and walleye were his favorites-and was an active member of the Lake-Link community, an online platform for fishing enthusiasts. Bob also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting, showcasing his love for the great outdoors.

Bob was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers, and he found joy in all music with emphasis on the 70s Rock era, as well as playing sheepshead with a group of friends and family.

Bob's legacy is carried on by his sons, Bob (Ann) Fuerst, Joe (Jill) Fuerst, and James Fuerst; their mother Deborah Fuerst; his grandchildren, Jared, Bobby, Camryn, and Dylan; his role as best man to Dick and Debbie Voelker; his cousin and lifelong friend, Tim Trepczyk; as well as other relatives and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
